Cedrus libani var. Stenocoma great hardy Cedar of Lebanon from mountainous southwest Turkey, this subspecies of Cedrus libani displays better cold hardiness than other forms, making it useful for Northern climates. Like the species, the dark-green conifer changes from a pyramidal form in youth to a flat-topped, picturesque tree with stiff, horizontal branches and a massive trunk in maturity. Attractive, broadly columnar, durable and unusual, it performs best in full sun.
Plant is small and yellowing on needles, but otherwise looks healthy.
