Pinus sylvestris 'Hillside Creeper' A creeping cultivar of Scotch Pine. A nice grouncover that spreads out and forms flat layered branches covered with thick, green needles. The vigorous, hardy Scotch Pine, lighter-green in winter, makes an excellent groundcovering option for banks or walls or tucked in and around boulders. Found as a seedling by Layne Ziegenfus of Hillside Gardens, Lehighton, Pennsylvania.

one of the coolest ground cover plants I've seen. I have in my personal botanic garden - both the low graft and the high graft forms - amazing plants that get a lot of attention. The high graft can be traned into a sinuous landscape bonsai specimen - weaving thru past boulder and arching across the dry creek. 5 star plant from the treeman. www.rodwhitlowdesign.com
