Tsuga mertensiana known as the mountain hemlock is a species of hemlock native to western North America. Slow growing with an alpine look. Great tree for the larger rock garden. Plant in groups of 3 or 5 for a nice alpine forest feel.

    The tree arrived in Maryland healthy with a bunch of new growth buds. It was about 6 inches tall so I am looking forward to watching it grow.

    Kigi shipped my mountain hemlock all the way up here to Alaska. Transplanted on my property as soon as I got it. So far it's doing GREAT! Was a beautiful tree. I will be ordering more!

    This is a slow growing tree so the 5 year old tree was small but in excellent health. I can tell that it was well cared for, was packaged well and arrived quickly. I will order from Kigi again.

    I've searched many nurseries for Tsugas and Kigi has a great selection. This tree arrive healthy and beautiful now has a hundred little buds of a tender green. It's lovely.
